Raouf Gangjee, the confused half-German founder of Indian's largest standup comedy network, The Komedians; comprising groups in Ahmedabad, Asansol, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Cuttack, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kashi, Kochin, Kolkata, Lucknow, Midnapore, Nagpur, Patna, Pondicherry, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur and Vizag (and counting); has performed in various parts of the country. He has appeared a number of times on television and radio, including interviews to BBC World Service Radio for his humorous take on events. He has done numerous club and auditorium shows, as well as private and corporate shows for Aditya Birla Group, Axis Bank, Bharti Realty, Dell, Exide, Gionee, HDFC Life, IBM, ITC, Kohler, Porsche, Radico Khaitan, RPG Group, SBI, Tata Steel, etc. He has also written humour columns: a selection of his articles has been published as a book. He lives by the motto "Don't be tied down by mottoes.... Okay, I wish I had one!"
